Environmental Design Seniors designed and built a series of oversized stacked prismatic volumes, built of a lightweight system of 3d printed joints + steel rods on which acrylic display panels were fastened. The prismatic totems represent a combined body of work/knowledge from each student that colorfully populate the space at regular intervals.

OVERVIEW

BACKLIT DISPLAYS

Large 2'x2' acrylic panels display student work, mounted onto wireframe structures

3/8" METAL ROD STRUCTURE

Rods were cut to size and attached at the corners with 3D printed joints

LIGHTING

LEDs wrapped around a pole and mounted to the base illuminate the panels from within the module

Crystalline Structure

Stacked prismatic forms show different facets of student work, spaced out in a diagrid with regular intervals
